Grey Gardens is an absolute standout. From the moment you step in, the moody lighting, stylish decor, and charming bar area create the perfect atmosphere. The space is long and spacious, with an open kitchen that adds to the experience. The food was just as impressive as the ambiance. We tried the Endive (topped with baked cheddar), Mandilli (thick, long noodles—a must-get), and a main fish dish that was equally delicious. Every dish was beautifully executed and full of flavor. This place was an absolute delight, and I would definitely revisit. Highly recommend for a cozy yet elevated dining experience!

Found this on the Michelin Guide when researching restaurants for our trip to Toronto. It was such a delight! The service, music, atmosphere and food were all amazing. By far our favourite dish was the chicken! Whilst it’s pricey, it is worth the money. If back in Toronto, I’d be coming back! Perfect for a date night or special occasion.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious! The ravioli and chicken stole the show. The sweet corn under the chicken *chef kisses*. The galette was good and wasn't overly sweet. I wish it had more filling, but that's just my personal preference. The atmosphere was great and music had me dancing in my seat! I would recommend visiting if you are looking for a good time and good eats.

Grey Gardens effortlessly balances charm with sophistication - with decor blending antique warmth with a modern touch that gives the space so much personality. The open kitchen adds an intimate touch, and massages my brain the same way as when I watch Tiktoks with Subway Surfer in the background (minus the brain rot). And with its ambient lighting, its the perfect spot for a romantic date night or a cozy, refined dinner with friends. We ordered the Mandilli, Pickerel, Endive, and Crudo, and our favourite was easily the Mandilli. Long, wide pasta draped in crab, Calabrian chilli, and Parmesan - an absolute must-order! I also really loved the Crudo - and if you're as into raw fish, crudo, or sashimi as I am, you'll really appreciate the delicate yet punchy flavors. Overall, I highly recommend Grey Gardens! Given their carefully thought out menu, welcoming service, and cozy ambiance - I'll definitely be back!

You wouldn’t know there was a wonderful restaurant hiding behind the shutters of this place. Once in you are transformed to a a beautiful interior that is well designed and has a good ambience. The food was really good and so were the cocktails. Wonderful experience.

I loved it here! We made reservation the night before – good thing, 'cause it was packed on Saturday. No tables were free when we booked, so we sat at the bar, which was fine. We got oysters, shrimp cocktail, and leek salad to start, then Mandili noodles and Bavette steak, and finished with honey toast. Seriously, I could've eaten two leek salads myself, it was that good. The Mandili pasta with crab and chili was amazing too – just the right amount of heat. You could tell the pasta was fresh. Oysters and shrimp were good, but I kinda wish we'd gotten scallops, their food was so good. Most people got the coconut cake, but we had the honey toast; it's like a honey cake, but toasted. We didn't know anything about this place before we booked, but I'm so glad we did. Can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu.

While on a short winter break in Michigan (I’m a teacher) We paid to experience the “Grey Monday” 6 course meal. Everything was exceptional. The meal is specially designed by their chefs, so not on the regular menu. One of the courses (gnocchi) we really enjoyed is pictured with this review. It was moderately priced for a Michelin recommended restaurant, and that coupled with the relaxed atmosphere and impeccable service made this Michelin star worthy in our eyes. I am so glad I reserved a spot for us here! We especially enjoyed talking with our server, Lauren. She shared tidbits of knowledge about Toronto and her experiences as a Canadian that made the evening feel even more intimate. I have a feeling Grey Gardens will be moving out of our price range soon - the menu here is really a true representation of the best of the culinary arts in Toronto.

Oh my goodnesssss, I just finished having dinner here and everything was soooo good. I do not know what the bad reviews are talking about! Every single dish was a hit. I can’t tell you which dish was my favourite because they were all amazing. Only one small, small critique was the kimchi in the scallop was a tad over salty but other than that, 10/10 would recommend. Finally a restaurant that uses ingredients that actually tastes good together and not just throwing different items on for the sake of trying to stand out. The crab mandilli had the perfect amount of spicy kick and do not get me started on the crispy skin for the duck. Amazing meal!
